What is art anyway?

We all basically have the same definition for art. It's a passion, and a strong one at that.
Can it be something deeper?

I think that art is defined by the artist in question. An actor, which would be a performing artist, defines his/her feeling for the art while on the stage. They show it with how they perform, the way they portray their character can tell you a lot about them.

My definition of art is a passionate dare to say what we want and our views on the world--expressed through acting, singing, dance, instruments, painting, drawing, sculpting-you name it.

today is my birthday!!

Fifteen! :]
I loveeeeeeee birthday days. Basically I got some really cool stuff -- stickers, a legit princess tiara(with snow white, sleeping beauty and cinderella haha), A NeverShoutNever shirt(a band if you don't know), some jewelry, new iPod touch dock, and some big hugs!! haha.
My boyfriend is so funny, he was like, "I feel so bad!! I didn't have time to get you anything!!" I was like ITS OKAY!! I don't really care if someone doesn't get me a present, I don't even know why people give you stuff on your birthday. Like, 'congradulations, you didnt die yet!' ahaha.

oh mann. I've been thinking a lot lately about life. I read a bunch of stuff about Marilyn Monroe-she seems like such a great person. I wish I could have met her. She was so strong and confident; some of the women in this world are just to down on themselves. ahh well.

(and i know, Born on St. Patrick's day--i am a leprechaun. haha. )

First Entry.

I should probably say a bit about myself.
Im Sadie, haha. I love penguins! I'm a Freshman in HS, some people think I look older. I don't like to act my age, I'm pretty sure I'll always be a freshman at heart. I'm not judgemental, but I am overly confident. Or so I've been told. I love people, and I can talk about just about anything! I have two best friends. I live in Virginia, but I moved here December of 2008 from California. I am 14 years old!(fifteen in 3 days!) My birthday is on March 17th.
